This course takes students through the whole gas supply chain in great detail; from exploration to processing, storage and delivery - it will look at types of gas fields and gas field developments, gas processing plants, LNG/FLNG and FSRUs. Students will be given case studies, real-life examples and a look at future technologies and what the long-term may bring. With gas production predicted to increase faster than oil over the next 30-40 years, this is a hot topic and will be beneficial to learn more about.

Since leaving BP in 1992 John has continued working in the offshore oil industry through Azur Offshore Ltd, including activities in the assessment of emerging novel technologies, technical and economics audits, deepwater studies, production sharing agreement evaluations, safety and environmental issues.
