Dr Susan Yin, LL.B. LL.M. Ph.D.

Susan is the Course Director of the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Services Law, Regulation and Compliance. Susan researches in financial market law and regulation and has publications in both English and Chinese. Her research makes
contributions to the development and governance of international financial institutions in the aftermath of the financial crisis. Being a multidisciplinary scholar, Susan has taught in leading Law and Business Schools in the UK and China.


Alan Wilkinson, LL.B., Solicitor

Alan is a former Principal Lecturer and Head of Law at London Metropolitan University. He specialises in a wide range of subjects including Employment Law, Financial Services, Investment Law, Corporate Finance, Business Crimes and Sharia Law. He worked in private practice before becoming the Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance for a London Stock Exchange listed Financial Services Company.

Barrie Goldstone, LL.B., LL.M. M.Ed., Barrister

Barrie is the Head of Postgraduate and Professional Courses at London Metropolitan University. He has over 25 years of experience teaching commercial law at graduate and postgraduate level, as well as training students in advocacy for national competitions. His doctoral research relates to working class constructs of legal education.


Associate Professor Dr. Nirmala Lee

Nirmala was a senior banker and banking consultant at international banks for many years in London and elsewhere prior to joining London Metropolitan University. Her teaching expertise includes commercial and investment banking, financial regulation and compliance, empirical research in banking and finance, bank lending, personal finance and financial markets.
