Programme modules have been written by subject specialists plus a selection of permanent and visiting faculty, and draw upon business scenarios to ensure theory is given the necessary context.
Ioannis is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Middlesex Business School. He was awarded a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent, UK in 2008 and he also holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Manchester, UK. Ioannis is an economist with research and teaching interests in the areas of International Economics, Macroeconomics and Quantitative Methods. Prior to Middlesex University, he has held lectureship positions at the University of Kent, Regent’s University London and University of Greenwich. Ioannis has published a book on Trade and Competitiveness and chapters in edited volumes. His research focuses on issues of international trade, productivity and growth. Ioannis has
published numerous articles in international academic journals and has extensive experience with distance learning education on the well-established and prestigious Middlesex University programme of MBA in Shipping and Logistics.

Module leader Management Perspectives
Dr Chari is a Chemical Engineering graduate with a PhD on the benefits of Enterprise Systems on Mid-Sized Manufacturing Businesses. He teaches Project Management, Sourcing and Procurement, and Services Operations Management. Prior to joining Middlesex University, he worked at the University of Bolton and was actively involved in the research, enterprise and teaching activities. He has delivered various regional development projects aimed at supporting small and medium sized businesses in improving business performance. He has lectured globally on supply chains, procurement, operations management and other management subjects to students at under graduate, post graduate and doctoral levels.
Anna is currently Dean and Pro Vice Chancellor of Middlesex University Business School. She has worked with the strategic development of organisations and their management teams for more than 25 years. Her areas of specialism are organisational behaviour, managing people, and learning and development with a particular emphasis on managing and developing people in the virtual organisation. She has extensive research experience in survey design and data analysis at organisational, national and international levels. Anna has been appointed as Vice President of the Membership and Professional Development Committee of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Dr Nathalie van Meurs is Programme Leader for the BA International Business as well as Module Leader of Management Perspectives for full-time and executive MBAs in London and Dubai. She manages the teaching team for Cross Cultural Perspectives, Management Contexts (equality and diversity), Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility, and Enterprise and Consulting. She is Senior Lecturer in Research Methods and Cross Cultural Perspectives.
