Genevieve Gordon, Having a first degree in Business and Finance Genevieve went on to train as a lawyer and since 2001 has worked actively within sports law. Historically she has advised organisations such as Brighton Bears on right to work regulations and other individual athletes on their commercial activities. Genevieve was an initial advisor to British Polo Enterprises for the inaugural British Polo Masters. Genevieve teaches International Sports Law and Global Sports Marketing at American universities.

Jonathan Merritt leads on the Sports Rights & Commercial Dispute Resolution module. Jonathan has taught sports law at undergraduate and postgraduate level for a number of years and is a consultant to other institutions on their sports law offering. Jonathan’s research interest is in integrity rules in equine sport, he is a member of the worldwide Equine Research Network and publishes in this area. He is submitting a PhD thesis on regulating equestrianism and horse racing.

Kevin Carpenter is the Module Leader for Integrity in International Sport, Kevin Carpenter is a sports lawyer who specialises in integrity, governance, regulatory and disciplinary matters.

Patty Healey BA (Hons) Health Studies, Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL), Legal Practice Course (LPC), Registered General Nurse (RGN), LLM (Business Law).

Patty was formerly a full time Senior Lecturer in Law and Medicine at DMU. She now teaches part time on the LLM Medical Law and Ethics programme and the Graduate Diploma in Law programme for ILEX and she also teaches on undergraduate programmes. She also gives guest lectures to a variety of healthcare professionals on legal issues at the end of life,
consent, human rights law in the healthcare arena and legal aspects in GP commissioning.
